The Joint-Interministerial Conference on Environment and Health (JICEH) plays a major role in monitoring NEHAP. It is assisted by the Cell Environment-Health.
JICEH was established in 2001. It brings together all of the competent ministers (federal, community and regional) in the fields of the environment and health.
The cooperation agreement of 10th December 2003 in fact ratifies the way in which JICEH operates, whilst confirming its primary role regarding the determination of general lines of priority and the implementation of NEHAP.
JICEH is chaired by the Federal Minister or Secretary of State who is responsible for the environment (Marie-Christine Marghem). It meets at least once a year.
